 Mission Statement:

Operation Brother’s Keeper (OBK) seeks to address the vital need for emergency preparedness and response by working as a coalition of faith-based organizations that empowers the community to participate in disaster readiness, volunteer response, and comprehensive evacuation planning. The coalition uses empowerment, training, best practices, and community organizing to create a self sustaining community based program that promotes a culture of preparedness. 

 

OBK will T.E.A.C.H

 

Train faith-based organizations in disaster readiness and response.

Educate individuals on the American Red Cross mission as well as State and National preparedness and response resources.

Advocate personal responsibility and volunteerism amongst faith-based organizations with the American Red Cross.

Connect faith-based organizations with the "Ready Rating" program.

Help faith-based organizations develop a comprehensive preparedness and evacuation plan.

 

Note: The American Red Cross does not activate individual congregational evacuation plans or provide transportation resources.
